Christmas Events

End of term celebrations at Harrow International School Beijing culminated in the Lower School performance of Christmas Around the World (December 4th) and the Winter Fayre and Concert of Carols at the Upper School on December 11th.

Matthew Farthing, Head Master, commented on the Concert of Carols.  "It was wonderful for everyone to come together for the Winter Fayre and Concert of Carols - a full house with standing room only at the back of the sports hall. The youngest young Harrovians in the choir sung out with great confidence after such a long day and there was a special sense of unity amongst all members of the School community."

The Lower School entered into the festive spirit the week before with their performance ‘Christmas Around the World’. The children performed a variety of seasonal songs and short plays, including a Nativity play, Hawaiian Christmas dance, Russian and Swedish Christmas stories, the origins of Santa Claus, traditional Indonesian Gamelan music and ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas in Beijing’.

“It was a whole School effort, and I am grateful for all the hard work that the staff and students put in to make the performance a success” says Matt Simmons, Head of the Lower School.

Well done to all!
