Last week Professor Mao Dong Li from the Central Conservatory of Music came to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with some of our best young pianists.

Professor Mao Dong Li from the Central Conservatory of Music captivated the imaginations of our young pianists in the Piano Master Class on Tuesday evening. His enthusiasm and understanding of the music gave the students new insights and fresh inspiration of the works they are practising for their GCSE and A-Level performance submissions.




A big thank you to the participants; Rachel Tsang, Penny Hao, Erica Zou, Kevin Shin, Willy Shinn and Young Shin who all performed beautifully and were able to adapt to Professor Mao's suggestions. We look forward to hearing the polished versions of these pieces at the Poetry and Piano evening on the 18th March.


The Masterclass was attended by other piano students from the Upper and Lower Schools and also some parents. Professor Mao Dong Li is a member of Peking Sinfonietta and will be performing with our very own Mr. Staalberg on March 26 at PKU.
