On Tuesday 26 June 2018, all the students in Lower School from Pre-Nursery all the way up to Year 5 took part in Dawes Day, a Harrow tradition day full of different Maths activities, which also formed the final part of the Academic Cup. Each House was hoping to be named the winners of Dawes Day by earning points in different activities. The children were challenged to build a tower out of 25 pieces of spaghetti and only 1m of tape, to make sure the tower was able to hold a marshmallow. Also, they had to complete a number of magic squares, compete in a Maths relay and compete against each other in the logic game of Go. Making a variety of origami animals and solving a range of sudokus all brings lots of fun. Let's congratulate Ju Ching Chu House, the Champions of Dawes Day!
