2019 Spring Concert

The audience were treated to a stunning evening of musical performances as Harrow Beijing students performed in their annual Spring Concert on 20 March.

This year the Spring Concert featured a wide range of music genres including pop, programme music, classical, jazz, funk, romantic and calypso. It was also particularly exciting because of the mix of old and new ensembles. Favourite groups who have been established for some time, such as Show Choir, Apri Cantenes and Upper School Strings, were joined by those who had formed more recently, like the Jazz Band and Men's Vocal Ensemble. The staff and students were excited by the collaboration between different ensembles, especially in items such as the Moana Medley.

Although the Spring Concert mainly features Upper School performances, this year the concert featured a guest performance by the Lower School String Ensemble. Crossing Lower School/Upper School boundaries and mixing younger and older students helps them to expand their horizons and create an environment of possibilities.

The Spring Concert is very successful and everyone was happy with the event. The performers and organizers received lots of praise from staff, including the Headmaster Mr. Shinkfield and the Deputy Headmastress Ms. Shelley – 'Best music concert ever seen!' Congratulations to all performers and thanks to all who came to support them!
