City Campus Christmas Dress Up Day

Aiming to help parents to understand the Early Years education at Harrow Beijing and to develop the parent-child relationship, City Campus hosted a Christmas parent-child event on 7 December, inviting all parents coming to the school with the pupils for a Christmassy school day. During the event, all children and parents dressed up as different characters, including Snow White and Santa Claus. Harrow parents enjoyed a Christmas choir performance by the pupils, and then joined the teachers and students in their classrooms to help make lovely handcrafts.

The Christmas parent-child event not only provided the children a fun Christmas themed day but also benefited the parents. One of the parent guests, Addy's mother, excitingly said that the Christmas event developed their parent-child relationship and allowed her to have a visual understanding of her son's school life. Rachel's mother realized the educational significance by participating in the activities. She said, 'For very young children, their understanding of festivals is generally vague. However, my daughter started to understand why festivals are important by participating in this event with us.'
