As a member of the Harrow family, Harrow Beijing hosted a series of Christmas events in December to celebrate this international festival with all Harrow Beijing students, staff and community members.
Ralph the Reindeer & Lighting of the Tree
On 8th Dec, the Lower School hosted the Infant Production and the Lighting of the Tree Performance. The productions involved performances from each year group and the Pre-Prep Choir, as well as the reading of wishes from the School Council Representatives.
On 13th Dec, Harrow Beijing hosted the 2017 Carol Concert. The evening was intended to provide a time for reflection upon the past year and to think about the origins of the Christmas tradition. Performances were delightful and traditional, and alternated between readings from students and songs sung by the students and audience.
In order to raise awareness of the issues surrounding child health and safety around the world, on 15th Dec, all Harrow Beijing students and staff wore Christmas Jumpers to school. This was inspired by the UK-based charity Save the Children.
On 15th Dec, the students, teachers and support staff from Upper School enjoyed the festivities on the last day of term one with lots of fun and games. Everyone had Christmas Lunch in their House areas with decorated tables, and pulled Christmas crackers with festive music being played throughout.
From all staff and students at Harrow Beijing, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!See you next term!
