In the latest published results and awards from Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International Education, students from Harrow Beijing have been recognised with a series of outstanding honours for their exceptional academic strength and unwavering commitment to learning.

Our students achieved the Highest Mark in the World in International GCSE Mathematics, and the Highest Mark in China in GCSE Physical Education, International GCSE Business and A Level Mathematics—a powerful demonstration of Harrow Beijing’s balanced excellence and academic depth across multiple subjects and key stages.

At the same time, Lucy S has received the CIE Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award in Media Studies, in recognition of her strong academic performance and creative work in this field.

Congratulations to all our students!

A significant number of these award-winning students have been with Harrow Beijing since Kindergarten or Lower School. Their achievements not only represent personal breakthroughs, but also reflect the ability of Harrow Beijing students to integrate critical thinking, creative expression and academic research within our coherent curriculum.

Behind these impressive results lie our students’ daily dedication and love of learning, as well as the Harrow Beijing academic team’s steadfast commitment to excellence, personalised support and character education. From classroom to examination hall, from our campus to the wider world, they have shown through their achievements that the Harrow spirit is not only about grades, but about the courage and determination to pursue excellence.

Student Voices

Annie L – Joined Harrow Beijing in Kindergarten
IGCSE Mathematics – Highest Mark in the World

“I took part in the school’s accelerated GCSE Mathematics programme, sat the exam a year early and achieved full marks, which led to the Highest Mark in the World. I am now studying Further Pure Mathematics with Mr Munim and considering my A Level subject choices.”

Keon A – Joined Harrow Beijing in Year 10
GCSE PE – Highest Mark in China

“I am currently studying A Level Physical Education, Biology and Mathematics. My advice to younger students is to start revising early, break your learning into small, manageable parts, and give yourself enough time to digest and absorb everything you need for the exams. In addition, I have chosen several enrichment courses, such as the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, which help me present a stronger overall profile when applying to university. Having a long-term goal really boosts your motivation. I have always been determined to study Sports Science at university, as it combines my passion for sport with strong academic rigour.”

Hannah L – Joined Harrow Beijing in Year 7
IGCSE Business – Highest Mark in China

“At the beginning, I treated Business as a dynamic game that needed to be understood. This mindset helped me link every topic in the syllabus – marketing, finance and operations – to real-world companies, which made the subject truly come alive. It was no longer a collection of separate theories, but a way of explaining how the real business world works. In addition to timed essays and reviewing model answers, I deepened my understanding by teaching what I had learnt to others. I often found myself explaining business concepts to my friends, my family, and anyone who was willing to listen!”

Simon X, a 2025 Harrow Beijing graduate who is now studying Physics at the University of Oxford, achieved the Highest Mark in China for A Level Mathematics. Known for his sense of humour and positive relationships with teachers and peers, he was a diligent and meticulous learner in Mathematics and Science during his time at Harrow. We are confident that he will continue to excel at university and beyond.

Lucy S, a 2025 graduate and former Head Girl, is currently majoring in Theatre Studies at New York University. Having consistently achieved high marks across all components of A Level Media Studies, she received the CIE Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award. Head of Media, Mr Wunker, commented: “Many students find this course highly challenging, and balancing the theoretical and practical demands is not easy. This makes Lucy’s award even more significant, and I offer her my warmest congratulations!”

Head of Upper School
Ms. Shellie Gibbons
“Year after year, we see Harrow Beijing students receive these excellent awards. This is a testament to their hard work and to the support of their teachers and parents. It is something our whole community should celebrate, and these students are role models for all those who will sit examinations this year and in the years to come.”
