Academic Results

We take great pride in our strong history of academic excellence at IGCSE and A Level. The outstanding grades achieved by our Year 13 A Level and Year 11 IGCSE pupils showcase the remarkable outcomes made possible through their perseverance, determination, and the guidance of dedicated expert teachers.

2024 A LEVEL RESULTS

We are pleased to announce an excellent set of A Level results for the 2023-24 academic year.

  • 14% of all Harrow students’ outcomes were graded A* (the UK average was 9.3%)
  • 46% of all Harrow students’ outcomes were graded A*or A (the UK average was 27.8%)
  • 75% of all Harrow students’ outcomes were graded A*to B (the UK average was 53.9%)
  • 88% of all Harrow students’ outcomes were graded A*to C (the UK average was 76.4%)

Harrow Beijing pupils have once again secured places at the world’s top UK and US universities including students moving off to the following Universities including top universities in the US like Yale, UCLA and UCB.

The majority of our pupils have met their first choice offers, with acceptances for University of Cambridge,  Imperial College London, London School of Economics and Political Science, Northwest and etc.

Headmaster Phil Akerman congratulated the Class of 2024 on their public examination results, highlighting both their exceptional academic accomplishments and their dedication to charity, service, the arts, drama, music, and sports. He emphasized that this was a time to celebrate not only their achievements but also the lasting impact they have made on the school community. Wishing them success and happiness in their future endeavors beyond Harrow, he expressed immense pride in all they had accomplished.

2024 IGCSE RESULTS

We are delighted to announce a fantastic set of IGCSE results at Harrow Beijing.

  • 37% of all Harrow students’ outcomes were awarded a Grade A*/Grade 9 and 8 (the UK average was 12.1%)
  • 58 % of all Harrow students’ outcomes were awarded a Grade A* to A/Grade 9 to 7 (the UK average was 21.8%)
  • 79% of all Harrow students’ outcomes were awarded a Grade A* to B/Grade 9 to 6 (the UK average was 35.3%)

In 2024, Pearson Edexcel announced the highest scores worldwide and in China. Students from Harrow Beijing achieved outstanding results, including the highest mark in world Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics, the highest mark in China Pearson Edexcel GCSE Drama, the highest mark in China Pearson Edexcel GCSE Art and Design, and the highest mark in China Pearson Edexcel GCE Advanced Level Mathematics.

Headmaster, Mr. Phil Akerman, commended the students on their exceptional IGCSE results, expressing immense pride in their accomplishments. He acknowledged their dedication and hard work, which contributed to their impressive performance. Looking ahead, he shared his enthusiasm for witnessing their continued success in the Sixth Form and at A Level.

These statistics not only surpass UK national averages but also place Harrow Beijing among the top-performing international and selective schools worldwide.
