Service and Community

Service Learning at Harrow Beijing is an experiential education in which learning occurs through a cycle of project actions and reflection as students seek to achieve real objectives for the community and deeper understanding of issues others face. Students learn that to lead a community is also to serve a community and that their education is a resource that they can use to change the lives of those around them for the better. As in all areas of the school, student leadership is central and so our charity is overseen and developed by the student led ‘Shaftesbury Society’.
